I just had them out on a long weekend ski/climbing trip. They saw lots of snow, rock, and even a handful of waist deep stream crossings. I loved the pants except for the cuffs/lower legs. I could not get over how baggy they were. They have the ankle zips, but zipped up they are still quite a bit more baggy than regular cut jeans. It would be awesome if they had just a draw string to pull them tighter around your boots. As they are they were catching on all kinds of sticks along the trail and anytime I went through more than ankle deep snow the pants just rode up and let snow in my boots. With gaiters on they're great, if you want to wear gaiters all day. The pros are that the materials proved to be tough, they dried quickly after being soaked through on the stream crossings. They were great for alpine climbing and skiing. Just super frustrating with the cuffs and how baggy the legs were below the knee. For reference I am 6'1", 190#, wear a 34x34 jeans. I bought a large and they were just a little baggy around my waist, good elsewhere. I wouldn't buy these pants again, unless they dial in the cuff of the pants and maybe trim up the lower leg a bit. For the price there are other options that include those features.
