What's in the name? Named after Mt. Thielsen, a shield volcano in the Oregon High Cascades.
The Thielsen Pant is our most versatile softshell pant yet. Designed to be worn in a wide variety of climbing conditions the athletic fit means you won't battle bagginess in the legs or crotch. Layer correctly and you can wear them for fall rock climbing, summer alpine rock routes, or winter and spring ice and alpine climbing. Our double weave, DWR coated fabric offers durability and breathability with a soft back for against-the-skin comfort. A high Spandex content allows the pant to move with you. Features include two zippered hand pockets, a zippered thigh pocket and zippered gussets on the cuffs. The cuffs are designed to be compatible with double boots as well as alpine touring boots. When closed, the zippered cuffs allow the lower leg to be slim enough to easily see your feet when climbing, and they can easily be rolled up when wearing rock shoes.
