Primarily an alpine climber and endurance athlete. I find this layer confusing. The cut is loose, much like an outer layer with space a thin layer or two. The material is comfortable enough to be directly against the skin. The cut of the neck / hood / zipper is awkward and not entirely comfortable. At 5'8" and 160lbs I find the medium to be too large to comfortably fit beneath a shell... the waist is loose and long and frequently peaks beneath a shell layer. The sleeves are also long and the wrists are not fitted so they feel cumbersome unless pushed back. The breathability is phenomenal and the durability is exceptional. I would love to see this material used in a more trim and athletic cut so this layer could be used as an "active" layer that could quickly disappear beneath a shell or warmth layer when finished dealing with a pitch or weather deteriorates... essentially as a workhorse, good weather, breathable, outer layer for high levels of activity.
