I've used the hoody on an ice climbing trip in the White Mountains of NH for three days and it was perfect! Weather varied from the low teens to a few degrees below zero, and I used the hoody the entire time.
I'm 6"0 and bought a large. The fit is good, little bit baggy towards my waist but that extra material fits perfectly over a harness. I might be somewhere in between a large and medium, and decided to err on the side of having more room then being skin tight.
PROS:
**great warmth to weight ratio
**hood was a very welcome additional layering that fit under a helmet
**dried quickly after a full days use.
** Chest zipping down allowed me to get air flow when I was starting to feel overheated.
**
CONS:
** None that I can think of, my only gripe is that there isn't a drawstring waist, but I'm sure there are technical considerations that came into play when they designed this.
Full disclosure: I loved this hoody so much I bought 2 more; one as a gift and one for my wife to use when climbing also.
100% love the idea of manufactured in the US by Alpinists for Alpinists.
