Meaning strong in Latin, the Fortis line is made from knitted fabric that pairs polyester and ultra high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) fibers to create a yarn which enhances the durability and strength of the fabric, leaving you with a garment that is both comfortable and long lasting. UHMWPE fibers are fifteen times stronger than steel at the same weight and are used for applications ranging from body armor to rope to racing sails. This shirt also features a UPF 50 rating.
