Bastion Belay Jacket

We took the same yarn NASA engineers use to reinforce their spacesuits, and wove it into a ripstop grid on the nylon shell to increase abrasion resistance and tear strength. A thin waterproof/breathable coating on the inside adds another layer of weatherproofing. Utilizing Climashield's continuous filament insulation allowed us to remove quilt lines and the cold spots that go with them. Because APEX has a higher warmth to weight ratio than staple insulations, it allowed us to keep the weight down as well.
The jacket packs down to the size of a gallon ziplock bag.

These jackets are being handcrafted in Salem, Oregon, led by our first ever employee, Lupe. If you've been a customer of ours in the past, then you probably own something that was sewn by Lupe. Her skills at the sewing machine and attention to detail are unparalleled. That being said, we want to ensure the best quality possible, so we're only opening up sales on a limited basis and we're making the jackets to order, so they will ship in 2-3 weeks.
