I grew up in the small town of Boonville, CA, where I spent my childhood running barefoot through the forests and hills. The independence and comfort in the outdoors that I have now is a direct result of that upbringing. I’ve always been an “outdoorsy” person, but several years ago I made the decision to experience as many outdoor activities as possible, and so began my journey into the world of adventure sports. These days, I make my living as a writer and a guide in the outdoor industry - something I truly enjoy and a place I never expected to be.
I’m currently chasing Fastest Known Times (FKTs), which is something I started doing 2 years ago. I also really love rock climbing, mountaineering, backpacking/fastpacking.
The outdoors is a place that I find solace and comfort, and it’s where I truly feel like myself. I really love Mount Shasta - that mountain feels like home to me - and the Eastern Sierras in California. I am also drawn to desert areas like Southern Utah and Joshua Tree.
goals for 2021
I have some big, audacious goals for 2021 that involve some long trails and a diverse skill set. I will announce these goals as they draw near!
I’m also working to grow my podcast, called Womxn of the Wild, into more of a community so I can begin hosting retreats.
